What is Hydronic Heating

Hydro1 Hydronic Heating

The Concept - Simplicity and Reliability

The Hydronic Heating concept is simple - water, heated by a dedicated Gas Fired Boiler, is circulated around your house via a network of small diameter, concealed insulated pipes. Radiators sized to meet your individual room heating requirements are selected to compliment your decor and fitted in each room.

The circulated heated water passes through the radiator and starts to transfer heat, both radiation and convection. There is no requirement for fans, there are no dust problems and the system is virtually silent in operation.

Compare this with ducted heating which circulates and re-circulates warm air via ducts around your home, bringing with it airborne particles, dust and other pollutants which can be triggers for asthma and other breathing allergies.

In contrast, Hydronic Heating does not rely on cycling blowers on and off instead using radiation and convection to provide you with the ultimate in home heating.

Hydronic Heating:

  • Allows you to individually control the desired temperature in each room of your home without the need for expensive controls,
  • Has a higher operating efficiency and lower running costs than ducted heating,
  • Uses Rehau piping designed to have up to a
    100 year lifespan, and
  • Adds value to your investment.

Hydronic Heating is the heating system preferred by Health Authorities and recommended by the Asthma Foundation. It has been available in Australia for over 100 years.

Hydronic heating will astound you both in the quality of the heat and its ability to provide uniform temperatures at the lowest possible relative humidity.

The National Asthma Council recognises hydronic heating as an effective component in reducing exposure to airborne triggers for asthma and allergy
